Unlikely Sequels: Peter and the Wolf II
I might be turning this into a new series of "Unlikely Sequels". Watch this proverbial space.
Not sure if I'm going to keep up to date with posting over December - it looks like it's going to be a tall order, but I shall do my best.

Movies They Never Made, #89a: Kindergarten Fop
The second take on Kindergarten Cop, after yesterday's comic. And, also, available as a new t-shirt, if anyone fancies it.
I decided to temporarily abandon my commitment to only draw stick men in the MTNM series, in order to achieve a decent fop. I was also going to draw more children in the picture, but then I couldn't be bothered.
More about the Zine Friendly event, for the "Links of the Day". Here's what I bought:
The excellent and slightly bizarre "Can I Borrow Your Toilet?" from Appalling Nonsense.
Banal Pig Comics, Collected Issues 1-3 - again a good purchase, featuring the disturbing Feeder, who becomes sexually aroused as he tricks his wife into becoming increasingly obese. And other, less unpleasant characters.

Movies They Never Made, #89: Kindergarten Mop
Two-parter, this one. For the second time ever, I've done two cartoons using the same movie. The next one will be revealed on Tuesday (the eagle-eyed amongst you may be able to guess what it will be).
It's been a while now since this has happened, but I went to the first Zine Friendly event on the 12th, so today's and Tuesdays "Links of the Day" will be based on that. Today, people I met:
Billy, AKA SumoCloud - Does some great pop-art style stuff that he had up on the walls at the event. Also, if you click on his portfolio and scroll down to the Cardboard Gallery, that's worth a giggle. Don't scroll down too far though if you're at work. Anything past "Hypodermic Noodles" is probably very much NSFW.
Jay, AKA Bumpkin Heroes - he draws an evil badger, and various other critters, innit. And his site is very much worth a browse.
We also doodled all over a cardboard box giant as the evening progressed. And then did this at the end because no one seemed to want to do any open mic.

A Basic Misunderstanding Of The Concept Of The Tyre Swing
This was my Mum's birthday card this year.
Also, today I have a guest comic strip today at Stale Bacon - their comics are usually midget-based, so I went along with that.
If anyone ever fancies doing a guest comic for EvilFlea, incidentally, do get in touch.

Umbeella
My friend Sam was asking around about pictures of bees with umbrellas the other day, and I just got around to drawing one. I even added a bit of colour into it.
Consider the colour compensation for my being late with an upload. Again.
[Edit] And here it is again. With actual wings this time (silly me):

The Back To The Matrix comics are hot off the press and on sale. Three quid each including postage, unless you live in far off lands, in which case I've added a little bit on.
I'm currently charging £3 for this and £1.50 of that will go to the Hoja Project. I'll give you another quid off if you buy the full set of greetings cards as well.

You're in for a treat this week. Thursday's upload will be a self-portrait, as I'm going Speed Hating tonight. Trust me, that last sentence makes total sense.
All I have to remember now is to try to not mention tomorrow's appointment at the Hospital of Tropical Diseases for my chronic diarrhoea.

The Business Cat
This afternoon I went to a writing group in Crouch End for the first time, and just got back. It was good fun and interesting to hear other people's work - we all went for coffee afterwards. Unsurprisingly I was by far the youngest person there, seeing as it was a Wednesday lunchtime. Here's what I wrote in the first few minutes - we had a few options to pick from, and I chose to write something based on the words "chair, tie, cat". As usual, it's a little bit strange.
The chair was not pleased
Bearing the scars of battles past.
Battles in which it could not fight.
Its varnish tarnished with scratches and bites.
It did not care if this was a different breed.
The Business Cat.

The Logical Spy
He calls Himself The Logical Spy.
Destroyer of Governments.
He alone knows the terrible truth
From the comfort of His armchair.
Lazily He changes channels
His grubby little fingers
Stained with gravy and fags
Stabbing at the faded numbers.
A young child holds a bottle
And young goats suck on the teat
While men in coloured costume
Watch curiously on.
The Logical Spy knows
What Hidden Agenda hides
In this strange circus.
He sees the true purpose.
The Logical Spy sees through
The oversized antenna’d heads.
Jealously He reaches for wispy hairs
That fail to conceal His balding scalp.
They had surely planned
To silence Him with poisons
But He had survived their treason
His flowing locks the only casualty.
His bloated belly boils with rage
At covert conspiracy
And He with great anger attacks
The greasy morsels ’pon it.
The day for speaking out would be another.

Movies They Never Made, #83: Alfred Hitchcock's The Boards
In my continuing quest to sell stuff, I've done up the Back To The Matrix comic as a pdf and sent it off to the printers. I'll put it up on here when they're ready, and sell it at comic fairs and get it in some comic shops.
I've now put t-shirts back in the Spreadshirt shop, as they've changed their printing techniques and you can buy the woofing dog design in many bright colours, rather than just boring white. Shazam, etc.
Annoyingly though, women's t-shirts are for some reason much more expensive than men's t-shirts. Sorry about that.
The rest of my time lately has been spent giving up on unresponsive teaching agencies, updating my CV, looking for other types of work, and going back (again) to the hospital in the Ongoing Saga Of Malaria And Giardia. Which sucks but seems to gradually be coming to an end.

Movies They Never Made, #82: Cost In Space
For the first time ever, I've bottled it before uploading a comic. It was just a little bit *too* offensive. Here's a new Movie They Never Made instead...

I only thought to add Chewbacca yesterday, and then redrew the comic. Before that it was just the gum and Cher (I had thought it was "Great to taste..." until I looked for it on YouTube). For those of you who aren't familiar, here's the old Wrigley's bus journey advert.
