I bought a new sketchbook last week, and this is the first sketch from it - the old one wasn't quite full, but it's a bit battered and returning from Africa seemed to be a fitting excuse to start a new one. If only I could do the same with my intestines.
Incidentally, if anyone would like any
evilflea tat, I've set up a shop at spreadshirt. I'm not making a big noise about it yet as I'm waiting for a t-shirt I've ordered to see the quality, but you can get
badges, bags and mugs for the moment (although the mugs are a bit of a rip-off to be honest, I can't help that, sorry).
I'm going to be supply teaching this year (once I'm properly recovered from whatever nasty bug I seem to have brought back home), in the hope that it gives me a bit more free time and energy to learn a bit more about proper art techniques. This will require that I make a little bit of money on the side, for little luxuries like food to keep me alive.
It should also hopefully give me a bit more time to spend on the
Hoja Project and
Advocates for Action, like what I been talking about on
my blog.
But maybe I'm being over ambitious. As usual.
